The Red Lion restaurant & bar is situated adjacent to our Cambridge, Duxford hotel. The Red Lion was founded as priory in the 13th century by an Order of the Carmelites. The exquisite beams, hand carved by the monks, are still as strong today as they were over eight hundred years ago and are some of the finest examples of their kind still in existence.

Duxford Chapel which originally formed part of the hotel and was built around the same time, sits in the hotel grounds. 

Today the present owners have done much to preserve and restore the original history and character of this listed building whilst providing modern facilities for all guests. The building is steeped in history and provides a great place to eat out in Duxford, Cambridge when staying at the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge-Duxford hotel.
